Lean In Michigan
Are you interested in connecting with motivated leaders and creating a stronger network for yourself?
Are you looking for inspiration and empowerment by building confidence and skills?
Are you goal oriented and interested in strengthening your work/life balance to achieve your own vision of success?
Lean In Michigan empowers women to achieve their ambitions through programs that counter gender stereotypes and advance opportunities for all women. Because...
The book Lean In is focused on encouraging women to pursue their ambitions, and changing the conversation from what we can’t do to what we can do. Lean In Circles mark the next chapter.
We are committed to offering women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals. If we talk openly about the challenges women face and work together, we can change the trajectory of women and create a better world for everyone.
We're more likely to get where we're headed if we go TOGETHER.
LeanIn.Org was founded by Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, following the release of her book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead. LeanIn.Org offers inspiration and support in three ways:
public awareness initiatives that change the way we think about gender
education materials that help women build new skills and provide everyone with research-based recommendations for advancing gender equality at home and at work
and Lean In Circles
Lean In Circles are small peer groups that meet regularly to learn and grow together. LeanIn.Org runs a network of more than 30,000 Circles in 150+ countries around the world, and they are helping women go further faster.
Circles are as unique as the people who start them, but they all share a common bond: the power of peer support. Research shows that we are more confident and are able to learn and accomplish more in small groups. While we can't guarantee you'll achieve your wildest dream, we can promise that joining a Circle will give you the support to go for it - 85% of members attribute a positive outcome in their life to their Circle!
The Lean In Michigan Chapter has Circles across the state, find one near you or start your own!
